Sales Director - UK Public Sector Applications


Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to work within our Oracle Fusion Applications business leading a Public Sector sales team.

This is a growing business area and team, with the responsibility of managing 7 net new sales reps. There are key pipeline opportunities for this team in the coming year and an exciting time to be part of such an expanding business.

The team focus on new business across areas of the UK Public Sector including; Central Gov, Local Gov, Police, Higher Education and Not For Profit. 



Responsibilities

What you’ll do

As a Sales Director you will manage an experienced team of new logo business sales representatives. You will be responsible for setting the sales strategy, driving team revenue and growth, as well as leading the team to overperform. You will have a track record of managing a successful Saas Sales team focused on UK Public Sector net new logo accounts.

For this role we require someone who has sold Applications Software successfully at rep level and has also managed sales teams previously to success! 

  • Set the Go To Market Strategy

    • Lead sales teams to accelerate growth and exceed customer expectations

    • Drive Oracles Applications strategy for net new logo sales in the territory 

    • Manage a team of Applications Account Executives focused on UK Public Sector 

    • Ensure robust pipeline coverage and optimise demand generation campaigns 

    • Consistently improve the team win and conversion rates

    • Monitor and review sales forecasts, activities and close plans, taking correct action when needed

    • Measure, analyse, track and report business metrics to achieve targets and identify improvement areas 

    • Leverage experience and creativity to drive business priorities

    • Drive linearity productivity and participation across the team to meet annual quotas

    • Develop long term relationships with senior level customers and partners

    • Lean in to support on specific sales and demand generation campaigns

    • Act as an escalation point for issues when they arise 

    • Collaborate with support functions such as Marketing, Alliances, Client Engagement and Industry Teams

    • Maintain a fully staffed team by retaining and hiring top sales talent

For this role we require:

  1. Proven track record at winning net new logo business
  2. At least 2 years sales management experience – over achievement of target in most recent years
  3. UK Public Sector experience – across at least 2 sub-markets, ideally more
  4. Proven experience of creating a go to market strategy & then executing it
  5. SaaS experience (ideally in ERP but CX and Industry solutions welcomed)
  6. Leadership style – Hands-on, motivational, supportive
  7. Management of at least 5 Sales Leads/Accounts Execs
