Senior Financial Controller- high growth Insurance firm - eFinancialCareers
My client, a high growth insurance firm who has been very active in the M&A market over the last couple of years is on the lookout for a strong number 2 to the group FD.
This role has significant breadth across financial reporting and FP&A/business partnering across numerous C suite executives. It's a fantastic platform for anyone considering their next move who is currently at the senior VP/Director level. You must have come from a top tier financial services firm- Investment banking, asset management, professional services or Insurance will be considered. Be a qualified accountant with extensive team management experience. Be comfortable operating in an environment that is in a transformational state, be able to engage with senior management and manage an experienced team effectively.
This role involves building and running a new FP&A function, establishing and expanding Project Partnering / Accounting capability and owning the underlying processes and reporting requirements (across P&L and Balance Sheet) to ensure governance, cost control and value for money for the business. This is a high-profile senior leadership role. Part of the responsibility will be telling the financial story so your communication skills will be critical to the success of the role.
The role will encompass
- CAPEX/Non-recurring expenses, tracking and challenging them
- standing in for the group FD when they are not available.
- ownership of the cost allocation methodology, and the communication of these numbers
- leading the reporting of group projects
- manage intercompany loan agreements and drawdown facilities
- Team management of 10+ people plus further support from an offshored centre
